Update Coming Soon....

So.......we had to do a little rearranging but with our computer hooked directly up to our little ATT box the internet works!! Whoop whoop!! I have a whole lot of pictures that I am working on loading to the computer...so an update will come later tonight. BUT, I can properly update everything we have been doing around here. Until tonight.......

Picture overload!

This post will be a bunch of random pictures. I wish I could properly update our Hot Springs trip, 4th of July and just all the randomness that happens here. But our computer decided to break (like everything else...sigh) and we lost everything and it won't connect to Internet.

The pictures will be one or two from Hot Springs (dinosaur dig I believe), a couple from the 4th, a couple projects I have done and a lot of pictures I can't properly describe. Add your own caption if you like! Haha.

BOY or GIRL

 We are NOT pregnant.

I used to think gender reveal parties would be fun. With the fun games and fun ways to find out.....
BUT, it is SO overdone now I just find it incredibly silly. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. I know that is having a baby...whether it be first, second or third is having some sort of gender reveal party, game, photo shoot, etc.
I am one who thoroughly enjoys a fun party but once something becomes so cliche it just starts to annoy me. I swear I am not bitter. ;)

I also have been seeing and hearing more and more people I know so desperate to have one sex over the other. I cannot tell you how badly that bothers me. If you aren't prepared for either sex you should wait to have a baby until you are. I don't think there is anything wrong with preferring one sex over another but I have seen it go beyond just 'preferring'. I know somebody who wants a girl because she has triplet boys...understandable, right. She really wants to get pregnant and have a baby girl. I had to ask her....'Would you be okay if it were another boy?' She said 'no'....so she is actually considering adoption. Only guarantee you will get the sex you want.

Lately, I have been asked if we are having a third (maybe because of my kids age, I don't know) and these questions are usually asked by total strangers so I usually don't answer and probably just give a really awkward look. Then to be followed by 'Well, you have a boy AND a girl.' So? Whether I had 2 boys or 2 girls my thoughts on a third would be the same.  We love our kids....if/when we have a third its because we love our kids. Not because we want/wanted certain sexes. EVER. It seems once you have one of each gender the social acceptance to have more goes down. 'Well, you have both sexes so your good.' What if we always wanted 3? Which we have.

I can tell you.....we will be having a gender reveal party! HA!! WAIT.....in the hospital room. You read right. We are not finding out the sex of number 3 (whenever we decide for him or her) until he/she is born. Crazy. But I guess that is a perk of having one of each sex. Haha. :)

I can rant all I want....joys of a blog I guess. :)

The Park

We went to the park a few days ago because the weather was fantastic. It was so nice out! Our favorite park is the Tonitown park.
Hayden almost refuses to act 'normal' in front of the camera. He makes faces or sticks out his tongue....can't ever seem to catch a good one. Ha! Such a clown.
Olivia has become a little more fond of the camera lately.
What he is doing here he now thinks is funny. If I ask him to look at the camera....this is what he does and then laughs afterwards. Such a turkey.
They both love this car thing. Hayden has to do some MacGyver moves to get in but they love it.
The one part I dislike about the Tonitown park. This slide. It just screams....broken arm, leg, neck...you get the point. AND its the one slide Hayden and Olivia want to go on. Ugh. Diversion. Diversion. Diversion.

Well, I had a video of Hayden on this spinny thing that is so funny but I haven't figured out videos on here yet. :(

We got our a/c fixed...thank goodness. Kids can finally wear pjs at night again!

SHARKS!

Hayden is completely obsessed with sharks! Just loves them. Here are some pictures of two of his favorites....
This to me is just rather creepy and I would consider myself dead if that gigantic thing was following me!
And the whale shark. The gentle beast. (Not so scary, right?)

We have the roku so we are constantly watching 'Shark Week' in our house. Notice the shark sitting by Hayden. He is rather smart about sharks though. He does not want to be anywhere near a shark. He knows that they are very dangerous. He has a shark book that is about to come apart because we read it so much! But it 'informs' him of the really dangerous and not so much......
The scary Tiger Shark! Hayden tells me 'See, the bite marks (red mouths in yellow) this is a DANGEROUS shark!'
Hayden 'See the bite marks here (there aren't any) this shark is a nice shark.' Now, he knows that some sharks are VERY dangerous but he knows some sharks are gentle. The problem is....he doesn't realize these animals all live somewhat together.
When we go swimming he asks us to check the pool for sharks. I am not going to lie...when I was young I too thought that sharks lived in the deep end. I have a fear of bodies of water with scary inhabitants. I am afraid he probably has my same fear...which I kind of like because I don't have to worry so much. But we had better keep him away from any alligator shows or Hot Springs could be a thing of the past. Ha! So, now that you have had your lesson in sharks here is someone who can finally wear dog ears!
Honestly, her hair has been long enough for dog ears for quite some time. I am just not too incredibly girly. I kind of treat her hair like I do Hayden's (except I will never shave her head). I don't really do bows as an accessory more as necessity. If her hair is in her face I will stick in a bow to keep it out. Andrew always tells me to fix her hair. Its brushed.....that's good enough, right?? Ha.

Little bit of this.....

Not a lot has happened at the Blair household. We have a broken a/c...yippee! Repair guy comes on Friday and I feel conflicted. I am super excited he is coming to fix our a/c but I am however not ecstatic about the price that comes with the a/c guy. I really thought I would be 'into' the whole blog thing but it seems like I just don't keep up with it that well. Who really reads it, right?? Although, I do need to keep up with it more to document what the kids do and the hysterical things they say. (for my own record)

Kids had their pictures done.....FOR. EVER. AGO. and I have not posted the pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.
Don't you just love family pictures! Ha!

The kids were actually pretty good. And were very excited to play at the park as soon as it was over. I can't wait to go back and get some good fall pictures. I really need a closer photographer that I like.....

We will be having a mini 'vacation' in Hot Springs in a few weeks that I am excited about. I haven't told Hayden and Olivia because that's all I will hear about for 3 weeks! I will probably tell them the morning we wake up to go. Ha!

I hope to have some pictures of Hayden and Brooklyn at their very first yoga class! I'm sure Olivia will try to join in but we will see how that goes.

We did go swimming last weekend and the kids did great! Olivia is such a water baby. She absolutely loves it. She refused to let you hang onto her in the water. Both kids had on floaties and did great. Hoping to continue going and possibly teaching them how to swim. At least one of them. Hopefully. Anyways, I think that is all for now.

Easter Fun

We decided to go to an annual helicopter egg drop in Rogers the Saturday before Easter. It was an epic fail! We sat in traffic for 20 minutes to park. We then went and registered and headed to the preschool age children's designated field. The way they have it set up is they have a white line and everybody lines up. Well, if you didn't show up an hour early you were a few rows back from the white line. They then sounded a horn and they were off! And all the eggs were gone! Just plain stupid. If it wasn't for some very nice lady who gave the kids 3 eggs each from her daughters basket my kids would have left empty handed. Let's just say we will not be making this a tradition for our family.

On Friday we went to the Bentonville Square. Kids had a great time there. Music, food and mostly the fountain! They had a great time sticking their feet and hands in the water. It was such a beautiful day too.

Over the weekend Steve and BeBe came to visit. The kids love when they do. Although, Hayden gets a little over excited and I'm pretty sure he tunes his parents out. Oh well, at least tuning us out isn't a constant....yet. Ha! For Andrew's bday his parents are re-doing our landscape in our front yard. They worked all day on Sunday and our yard looks great...so far! We don't have plants yet but it looks a million times better already. We also had a few people over to eat and just hang out on Easter. The food was good and I think we all had a good time. My good friends John and Liz brought the kids some really nice Easter baskets (very sweet) and Liz helped with food. Such a huge help! I am so used to party planning and doing food all by myself. Great to have someone offer to help. Everything was so good.

We have been gradually working on potty training with Olivia. We kind of go at her speed.....I learned with Hayden if you are too aggressive with potty training they tend to regress. But, Olivia has been doing really great with it....accidents are becoming less and less. She had a major break through today as she pooped on the potty for the first time! She knows when she has to go pee and she will run in to the bathroom, turn on lights and go potty. So, when she ran in there I figure she was going pee AND then I hear 'Mommy! I went poo poo!' She sometimes says she has pooped when in fact she has just peed....not this time! I am so proud of her. She is just growing up so much everyday.

Hayden is just doing so good. He is such a social little thing (so is Olivia) which I am so grateful for. We do 'school' at our house and Hayden is doing so well. He can spell some and we are concentrating on sounds of letters and writing. He is so so smart! He amazes me with what he knows. Even his pediatrician is taken aback by how smart he is. We may have him take a test on his intelligence. :) He has a birthday coming up soon and a party that he is so excited about. We have been talking to him about his birthday and party and on Easter when the table was all set up and people started coming over he walked over to me and said 'Thank you so much for doing my party.' Ha! He is ready.
